As I trust GOD more and more I am learning to be Happy in my current season until GOD moves me to the next one! Pouting and being upset is only going to make the rough seasons harder and longer and I rather not live my life like that.
I choose Happiness! 
Psalms 33:21 In HIM our hearts rejoice, for we trust in HIS holy name.

Godly Friendships!

During my 36 years of living on this earth GOD has blessed me with some AWESOME friends. I often tell people that one way that GOD shows me love is through my girlfriends. Yes we have disagreement but at the end of the day we all love each other and that is what it is all about!

In December 2011 GOD brought someone into my life that has truly been a blessing to me. That person is the face of HISBlessedOne Domonique Davis. Domonique stepped out on Faith and deployed to Kuwait leaving everything that was familiar to her. When I first met Dom I knew that something was different about her and when she told me that she was a Christian and living her life for CHRIST I knew that we would be friends. I loved that we were able to be transparent with each other about our Christian walk. Some days were just hard but I was glad to have Dom as not only my prayer partner but also my accountability partner. Such a blessing!

When Dom left Kuwait to return back to the states nothing changed with our relationship. You know the saying some people come into your life for a season, a reason or a lifetime well I am so happy that our sisterhood was not seasonal.

In December 2012 I was in the states for the holidays and Dom drove down to South Carolina to visit me for a few days and to share her testimony during my first Vision Board Social. I was excited to be able to fellowship with her in the states and honored that she made the trip. The day that Dom was leaving I showed her the vision that GOD had given me with HISBlessedOne. I can still remember Dom's reaction to the  first designs.....pure excitement!

I never had to think twice of who I wanted to be the face for my brand! Dom is not only beautiful on the inside she is also gorgeous on the outside. Over the last year I have watched her grow through each photo shoot and I am so proud of her!

Lent Season

Today is Ash Wednesday and it marks the start of Lent season. During Lent Christians practice fasting, repentance, moderation and Spiritual Discipline.

Beginning March 5, and ending on April 17, Lent is a 40-day period when Christians prepare for Easter. The 40 days represents the time JESUS fasted and prayed while in the wilderness as HE was preparing for HIS public ministry.

You may ask what you should fast from...I believe that it should be a gift of sacrifice unto GOD. I also believe that you should seek GOD for guidance and always be purposely driven by HIM. Remember that fasting is intimate and should between you and GOD.

As I was preparing for this season and talking to GOD about what I was going to give up for Lent HE kept talking to me about the areas of my life that needed discipline. The more and more that I prayed I found that Spiritual Discipline is the focus for this season. When I looked the word Discipline up in the dictionary it says "training expected to produce a specific character or pattern of behavior." Spiritual Discipline can be described as those behaviors that increases your spiritual growth and enables you to grow to spiritual maturity.

I am approaching today and the next 40 days with a Spirit of expectancy. Believing that as I fast and discipline the areas of my life that GOD has instructed me that it will not only be for this season but a lifetime.

It is my prayer that you enjoy the next 40! Rejoice in what GOD is going to do in your life after this season is over!

“When you practice some appetite-denying discipline to better concentrate on GOD, don’t make a production out of it. It might turn you into a small-time celebrity but it won’t make you a saint. If you ‘go into training’ inwardly, act normal outwardly. Shampoo and comb your hair, brush your teeth, wash your face. GOD doesn’t require attention-getting devices. Why I Left the Church

Have you ever heard about people leaving the church because someone offended them or said something they didn't agree with. Yea that was me! Last July I was going through a lot of changes with my job and I was really looking forward to prayer time during a Friday (Joy) night service.  At the end of services I went to the alter to have my Spiritual Mother pray for me and as soon as she took my hand to pray one of the Chaplains' came up to us and said.... remember there are to be no laying of hands. I looked up at him in astonishment. Had he really interrupted my prayer time and who was he to constrain the Holy Spirit?

Needless to say I was upset...so upset that I decided not to return. My Spiritual Mother was leaving the following night to return back to the states and I decided that I didn’t want to stay around for all the different changes this new Chaplain was going to bring.  Although, I decided to not attend that particular church service on post I never left the church and continued to live stream back to my home church back in the South Carolina.

One Sunday Morning in November GOD told me to get up and go to church. He led me to a Contemporary service here on post and each Sunday I have been blessed with the word of GOD.  Yesterday during worship service  I had to smile and thank GOD for getting me back to this place. There is nothing in the world like being in the presence of GOD and worshiping HIM in HIS house with other believers.

As far as me deciding to no longer attend that service I learned that everyone's beliefs are different and I should be GOD led when leaving a church not based on my emotions.  I believe that as long as I am away from my home church that GOD will continue to lead me to a church in which I will grow in HIS word.

Still learning life lessons.....

Psalm 32:8 declares, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”

My Soul

Yesterday morning while getting dressed I was listening to Pandora as a I normally do in the mornings and a Praise Medley by Tamela Mann came on that blessed my Spirit so much. For the last few weeks I had been in pray about a few things and as I got my praise on GOD began to talk to me about the very things I had prayed about. There is nothing like knowing that GOD heard your cries.

I LOVE my quiet time with GOD! The closer I get to HIM the more time I desires to be in HIS presence.

My Soul Loves JESUS!

Worship HIM!

Last night as I was walking the track I decided to listen to the Kirk Franklin station on Pandora. As I started my walk I began talking to GOD and worshiping HIM. With each song I worshiped GOD even more. I cried out to HIM and praised HIM without any care that there were others walking and/or running on the track. I wanted GOD to know how much I loved and appreciated HIM! I serve an AWESOME GOD and it feels good to praise HIM. As I was deep in worship GOD reminded me of a young Muslim man I had seen earlier in the day praying. He had taken off his shoes and got on his face to pray with no regards as to who was around him. I immediately felt bad because I sometimes rush my time with GOD. I work long hours and something is always going on so I don’t spend time worshiping GOD like I should but when I do worship HIM my spirit is always so full afterwards and there really is not a better feeling. I decided that my nightly walks are a great way to spend time with GOD because I really do desire that intimate time with HIM.

How are you fitting worship into your busy schedule?

John 4:23-24 But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For GOD is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

I Need Thee

This morning as I was getting ready to walk out the door to work "I Need Thee" by Jadon Lavik came on Pandora and as I listened to the words of the song I prayed for GOD to be with me every second, every hour of the day. My heart has been hurting the last couple of weeks as I heard about people that I know or know of going through really rough times. Just this weekend I heard of a young lady losing her husband to a car accident and a mother having to bury her son.

I have gone through some things and when I was down and out I needed GOD. When I was being tempted and didn't know where to turn I needed GOD. When things were going well and I was rejoicing I still needed GOD.

I need HIM every second, every minute, every hour, of every day. I NEED HIM!

Hello Loves!

Last week one of my friends mentioned that they had been listening to Israel Houghton a lot so I tuned into him on Pandora this week and can I tell you I was blessed. One song that I kept on rotation was "That's Why I Love You".  What an awesome way to usher in the Spirit of GOD than by singing why you love HIM!

I encourage you to spend some time at JESUS feet today telling HIM you love HIM and I guarantee HE will show you how much HE loves you!

In HIS Presence

Hello Loves! Can you believe that it is December already? I pray that everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving. My holiday was great! I was able to relax, enjoy time with good friends and to spend some time with CHRIST!

I love my worship time because it allows me to  get into GOD's presence and sing/cry out to HIM!
