Take time to say Thank You

So I had no intentions of writing a blog post today but as I was sitting quiet before the LORD, HE led me to an article that I really needed to read. The article spoke to my current situation and I know that GOD slowed me down long enough to give me encouragement on this journey.

After I finished the article I told GOD thank you but it had me thinking that today...this moment wasn't something that happens once a week, once a month or heck once in a lifetime. GOD blesses us in so many ways every second of everyday but how may times do we say those 2 little yet POWERFUL words......THANK YOU!

I can be 100% honest and say I don't tell GOD thank you enough. Most times I am running from the time I wake up to the time I lay my head down at night which means my days are a blur.....that isn't an excuse just facts and admission that I need to do better!

Since I am being so transparent I can also say that there are somedays when nothing is going right and I am doing good just to keep the tears from falling down my face.....or better yet I am doing good by not yelling at someone (is that too honest?).

LOL....now that GOD has convicted me in love I want to do better. So for the month of November join me for 30 days of thankfulness. Everyday take the time to thank GOD for HIS many blessings even on those days when you have to hunt for them. What do I mean by that you ask? Well like I admitted some days go by so fast and everyday isn't great (although I wish it was) so it on those days when you may have to slow down and really hunt the blessings in your day.....they are they I PROMISE! No matter how big or small the blessing is give GOD thanks......HE deserves it!

To keep me on track for the rest of the month I am going to make a Thankful Tree. I did this a few years ago and I loved it! I found the idea on Pinterest...of course.

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. {Psalm 9:1-2}
